I created the site because I felt an extreme sense of urgency to do something positive with my eclectic skill set. This is my small effort, and I hope it links with the efforts of anothers, and that all the efforts will somehow link together into a huge wave that has the ability to "flatten the curve" and "slow the spread" of this horrid virus.

I am chilled to my bone watching the growing number of infected people here in NJ, NYC, around the country, around the world. The stories bring tears to my eyes. I often cannot sleep and find myself peddling to nowhere on my basement stationary bike in an effort to burn off nervous energy.  But I am also humbled and gratified by all the amazing people I've met and witnessed coming together and trying to make a positive difference. I am grateful to those who joined the group I created — many of whom I never met but now consider friends. We are "socially distant," yet very much connected, sewing face masks as much as we can. I am grateful to my good friend Derry who indulges my ideas and helps me make them happen. And I sincerely thank and am grateful to all those working in the medical community, the first responders, the people on the front lines, the delivery people, grocery story workers, mailmen/woman, and the countless people working to help us all get through this incredibly difficult and frightening time.
